PATNAIK MINERALS PVT LIMITED (PMPL) was originally founded in 1955 by Late Bansidhar Patnaik, one of the pioneers of mining in the state of Orissa and an entrepreneur who made significant social contribution & development to the district of Keonjhar.
Prior to incorporation of the Co., the parent business was a partnership firm known as M/s. B. D. Patnaik with business operations in Mining of Iron Ore & Manganese in the Joda-Barbil region of Keonjhar district in Orissa and mining of Limestone, Dolomite and Quartz in the Rourkela region of Sundergarh district in Orissa.
The business operations was successfully headed by Late R.N. Patnaik, the eldest son of Late B. D. Patnaik, a Geologist by qualification from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) who devoted over 45 years in the mining industry and had been actively involved as a representative of some of the apex mining forums like Federation of Indian Mineral Industries (FIMI) and Eastern Zone Mining Association (EZMA). His business acumen, ethical practices and strong values laid a solid foundation for the Group.
PMPL business operations is currently headed & managed by Mr. S. K. Patnaik, son of Late R.N. Patnaik, a Graduate Engineer with experience of over 28 years in the field of mining and allied industrial activities. His strong leadership & astute business acumen have steered the company to achieve manifold growth and extensive diversification. Under his stewardship, the company has earned an impeccable track record & added consistent value to its net-worth.
The board of the company includes Mr. A. N. Patnaik, Mr. J. N. Patnaik & Mr. A. K. Patnaik who are associated with the management of the company
